Changhua Pork Festival and Brooklyn Mid-Autumn Parade held

In Taiwan, the Changhua Pork Festival was held in Daman Township as part of the 2026 Changhua Livestock Carnival. The event focused on the theme of “circular sustainability and livestock leadership,” promoting the “Changhua Healthy Pig” brand. Changhua County Magistrate Wang Hui-mei highlighted that the county is the third-largest pig farming region in Taiwan, with approximately 772,000 pigs. The brand guarantees no use of ractopamine and no drug residues to ensure consumer safety.

In the United States, the 2026 Mid-Autumn Festival Float Parade and Asian Culture Festival took place on 8th Avenue in Brooklyn. Organized by the New York Chinese United Association in collaboration with the Brooklyn Community Relations Association, the event featured over 20 community groups and 50 organizations. The parade included traditional lion and dragon dances, cultural performances, and traditional deity puppets, celebrating Asian heritage and community unity.
