Goldenvoice debuts Head Trip electronic music festival in Indio

Goldenvoice recently debuted Head Trip, a new electronic music festival held at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California. Departing from the traditional multi-stage festival model, Head Trip utilized a single-stage concept to prevent set time conflicts and foster a unified experience for attendees.

The event faced significant logistical challenges when severe weather, including high winds, lightning, and heavy rain, struck on Saturday night. The weather forced an immediate power shutdown during a performance by Fisher and Chris Lake, preventing headliner Calvin Harris from taking the stage.

Despite the sudden evacuation, the festival's management was noted for its organized response. Safety teams and staff executed a calm evacuation, utilizing on-site screens and social media to direct crowds, avoiding the typical chaos or traffic bottlenecks often associated with large-scale weather disruptions.
