Goldfish exhibitions scheduled for Imabari and Tokyo in September 2026

Multiple goldfish-themed exhibitions are scheduled to take place in Japan starting in September 2026.

In Imabari, Ehime Prefecture, the ‘Goldfish Aquarium Colored by Light’ will be held at Aeon Mall Imabari Shintoshi from September 19 to November 29, 2026. The event will feature rare goldfish from across the country and offers photo opportunities for visitors. Admission is 700 yen, with children under two entering for free.

In Tokyo, the Art Aquarium Museum GINZA, located in the Ginza Mitsukoshi building, will host a special event titled ‘Fortune Goldfish – Let Goldfish Swim Your Luck’ from September 19 to September 27, 2026. This exhibition categorizes various goldfish varieties by the types of luck they symbolize, such as wealth, career advancement, and health. The event includes new displays and AR photo opportunities.
