Goldman Sachs re-emerges as largest XRP ETF holder
Goldman Sachs has reclaimed its position as the largest institutional holder of XRP exchange-traded funds (ETFs). According to its latest Q2 2026 disclosure with the U.S. SEC, the firm has built a total position of $86.50 million across several funds, including Bitwise, Franklin Templeton, Grayscale, Canary, and 21Shares.
Specific holdings include over 2.2 million shares each in the Bitwise and Franklin Templeton XRP ETFs. The firm also disclosed 365,976 XRPN shares in Armada Acquisition Corp II, a SPAC linked to Ripple-backed Evernorth Holdings.
This move follows a period where Goldman Sachs had completely exited its XRP ETF positions. The re-entry coincides with a broader market recovery for XRP, which saw a 40% price increase this week. Other major financial institutions, including JPMorgan, Morgan Stanley, and Bank of America, also reported XRP ETF holdings in their Q2 filings, signaling increased traditional finance involvement in crypto assets.
