Goldman Sachs to acquire LCN Capital Partners for up to $410 million

Goldman Sachs has agreed to acquire LCN Capital Partners, a commercial real estate investment manager, in a deal valued at up to $410 million. The transaction includes an upfront payment of approximately $260 million, with an additional $150 million contingent on LCN meeting specific long-term performance targets and service commitments. Roughly 80% of the total consideration will be paid in Goldman Sachs stock.

LCN Capital Partners, founded in 2011 by Edward V. LaPuma and Bryan York Colwell, manages approximately $3 billion in assets. The firm specializes in sale-leaseback and triple-net lease investments across North America and Europe. These structures allow companies to monetize real estate assets while maintaining operational control, providing investors with predictable, long-term rental income.

This acquisition is part of Goldman Sachs’ broader strategy to expand its asset and wealth management division, which manages roughly $4 trillion. It follows the bank's recent agreement to acquire ETF provider Neos Investments for up to $2.25 billion. Upon completion, LCN’s investment team will join Goldman Sachs Asset Management. The deal is expected to close by the end of 2026, subject to regulatory approval.
