Goldman Sachs to acquire NEOS Investments and raises European equity target

Goldman Sachs Asset Management has entered a binding agreement to acquire NEOS Investments for up to $2.25 billion. The deal, which is subject to regulatory approval, is expected to close in the first quarter of 2027. Through this acquisition, Goldman Sachs will integrate NEOS’s option-based platform, which currently manages $30 billion in assets, into its active ETF offerings. The move is intended to expand Goldman Sachs’s total ETF platform to over $130 billion in assets under supervision.

Separately, Goldman Sachs has raised its 12-month price target for the European Stoxx 600 index to 695 points, up from a previous target of 660. The bank cited resilient economic conditions and strong corporate earnings as primary drivers for the increase, noting that European equities are relatively undervalued compared to US stocks and offer attractive returns through dividends and share buybacks.
