GoldMining and Goldgroup advance drilling and environmental studies
GoldMining has commenced environmental and socioeconomic studies for its São Jorge gold project in Pará, Brazil. The company has engaged SLR Consulting for multidisciplinary engineering and metallurgy studies required for prefeasibility. Additionally, CLAM Environmental has been contracted to conduct baseline studies to support the Environmental Impact Study (EIA) and Environmental Impact Report (RIMA) necessary for licensing.
In parallel, GoldMining is executing a 6,000-meter infill drilling campaign using three diamond drilling rigs to improve resource estimation and collect geotechnical and metallurgical data. To date, over 1,000 meters have been completed without incident.
In Mexico, Goldgroup Mining reported significant progress in its technical studies and drilling programs. At the Don David complex in Oaxaca, the company completed approximately 25,726 meters of diamond drilling during the first seven months of 2026 across 123 holes near the Arista and Alta Gracia underground mines. Most of this work focused on improving mineral resource definition.
Goldgroup is also conducting a 26,000-meter drilling campaign at the San Francisco project in Sonora to evaluate the potential reactivation of an old open-pit operation. The company is also working on infrastructure rehabilitation and exploring residual gold recovery at Cerro Prieto.
