Goldwin launches Voxeloft thermal technology vests

Goldwin is launching a new line of limited-edition insulated vests featuring “Voxeloft,” a proprietary variable thermal technology. The technology uses a geometrically designed structure to create multiple air layers within the garment, suppressing convection to enhance insulation. By controlling the amount of air inside the clothing, users can adjust thermal retention to suit changing environments without needing to change layers.

The product lineup includes the Goldwin Voxeloft Insulated Vest, priced at 132,000 yen and scheduled for release on October 9, and The North Face Nupuri Airchamber Vest, priced at 253,000 yen with a planned release in late November. The technology was developed by Goldwin’s R&D division, drawing inspiration from the insulation principles used in triple-pane glass to create multi-layered, subdivided air pockets.

The vests are designed for high-activity outdoor settings such as mountaineering and trail running, where temperature fluctuations due to weather or altitude are common, as well as for urban environments involving frequent transitions between indoor and outdoor settings.
