Goleta releases voter guidance for 2026 municipal election

The City of Goleta has released instructional videos to assist residents in identifying their voting districts ahead of the 2026 General Municipal Election on November 3. The city is divided into four districts, with the mayor’s seat being elected at-large.

For the upcoming 2026 election, registered voters residing in District 1 (Northeast/Fairview area) and District 2 (Southeast/Old Town area) will vote for their respective City Council representatives. The election cycle follows a staggered sequence: Districts 1 and 2 voted in 2022, Districts 3 and 4 voted in 2024, and Districts 3 and 4 are scheduled to vote again in 2028.

To facilitate voter clarity, the city clerk and a Spanish engagement specialist have provided guidance through video and an interactive online map where residents can search for their specific district by address.
