Golf Sud Police dismantle organized crime group in Cité Fadia

Police officers from the Golf Sud District Police Station dismantled an organized crime group in Cité Fadia on September 7, 2026. The operation resulted in the arrest of seven individuals in a furnished apartment.

The intervention was triggered by a hostile crowd gathering around a building after a victim of motorcycle theft used video surveillance footage to locate the suspected perpetrators. During a search of the apartment, which was being rented by a foreign military member staying in Senegal, authorities seized four packets of Indian hemp, various bladed weapons, and shisha consumption equipment. The anti-theft device from the stolen motorcycle was also recovered.

The seven suspects have been presented to the Pikine-Guédiawaye High Court facing charges of criminal association, organized theft, collective use of Indian hemp, and possession of bladed weapons.
