Golf tournaments held in Dominican Republic

Several golf tournaments were recently held in the Dominican Republic. In the 2026 Mastercard Banreservas National Match Play Championships organized by the Dominican Golf Federation, Raúl Cendoya emerged as the grand champion at the Punta Espada Golf Club. Cendoya secured his victory by defeating Julio Santos in the final with a score of 2 up. Other category winners included Sebastián Ramos in Category A, Alberto Menicucci in Category AA, and Michael Cruz in the Mid-Amateur division.

Additionally, the 27th edition of the BritChamDR Royal Cup took place at the Dye Fore Golf Course in Casa de Campo. Organized by the British Chamber of Commerce in the Dominican Republic, the event featured 120 players. Edgar Alma and Eloy Núñez were crowned the overall champions after posting a gross score of 67. The tournament marked the first major event for the newly sworn-in Board of Directors of BritChamDR, led by President Ryan Polanco.
