Yuri Yoshida wins BMW Ladies Championship in South Korea

Yuri Yoshida captured her first LPGA Tour title at the BMW Ladies Championship, held at Pine Beach Golf Links in Haenam, South Korea. Entering the final round four strokes behind the leaders, the 26-year-old Japanese golfer surged back with an eagle on the second hole and three consecutive birdies.

Yoshida finished with a four-round total of 17-under 271, securing a one-stroke victory. A pivotal moment occurred at the 17th hole, where Yoshida executed a high-pressure 48-yard bunker shot with a pitching wedge to secure a birdie. This shot provided the necessary buffer after both she and the overnight leader, Haeran Ryu, recorded bogeys on the 18th hole.

South Korean players Haeran Ryu and Hye-Jin Choi finished in a tie for second place at 16-under par. Ryu had held a four-stroke lead entering the final round but struggled in the closing stages, while Choi remained in contention throughout the day. Yoshida earned a winner's prize of $352,500.
