Golfers struggle with progress and swing rhythm

A survey conducted by NEXER Group and Yokohama Golf School Nakajima involving 100 Japanese men and women reveals that 85% of amateur golfers do not feel they are making tangible progress. The primary technical difficulties reported include difficulty making clean contact with the ball (48%), unstable swings (43%), and lack of distance (35%).

Beyond technical mechanics, psychological factors play a significant role in the gap between practice range performance and actual course play. Analysis suggests that excessive conversation on the course can disrupt a golfer's swing rhythm. Engaging the brain's language centers through talking can interfere with the cerebellum's ability to execute automatic, subconscious motor patterns, leading to a loss of concentration and rhythm.
