Golkar Urges Party Consolidation and Youth Training Ahead of Seat‑Boost Goal

Chairman of Indonesia’s Golkar Party, Bahlil Lahadalia, called on party members to intensify internal consolidation to support President Prabowo Subianto’s administration and to increase Golkar’s legislative seats in the next election. The appeal was made while inaugurating the Golkar Aceh DPD leadership on 11 July 2026, where he stressed unity among senior and junior cadres.

Parallel to the political push, Golkar’s youth wing (AMPG) concluded a three‑day national training (Diklat) that gathered delegates from all 36 provinces. The program emphasized adaptability to changing times, character building, and problem‑solving skills for young cadres. The training was bookended by a symbolic planting of 444 trees, a nationwide greening campaign tied to the party’s banyan‑tree emblem.

Both events were presented as steps toward two core agendas: strengthening party cohesion and securing additional parliamentary seats, while maintaining support for the current government through the end of its term.
