Golkar Party defers Nusron Wahid bribery probe to KPK

The Golkar Party has stated it is fully deferring the legal process regarding alleged bribery within the Ministry of Agraria and Spatial Planning/National Land Agency (ATR/BPN) to the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK). The investigation involves several individuals identified as ‘trusted associates’ of Minister Nusron Wahid.

Golkar Vice Chairman Ahmad Doli Kurnia Tandjung noted that while information suggests the involvement of four people close to Nusron, these claims must be proven through legal channels. He emphasized that the party trusts the KPK as an independent institution to resolve the matter. Doli also suggested that if Nusron is not involved, he should provide a public clarification.

Controversy has arisen regarding Nusron Wahid’s status within the party. While Golkar Secretary General Sarmuji indicated that Nusron resigned from the DPP leadership more than six months ago, he remains a party cadre. Critics have questioned the lack of transparency from Golkar Chairman Bahlil Lahadalia regarding Nusron’s current standing, especially following the KPK investigation into bribery related to Building Rights (HGB) management.
