Golkar Party pledges continued support for Prabowo, seeks more parliamentary seats

Chairman Bahlil Lahadalia told a Golkar regional assembly in Palembang that the party will remain loyal to President Prabowo Subianto and Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka for the duration of the administration. He described the support as a firm political decision aimed at backing government programs that improve public welfare.

Lahadalia also outlined Golkar’s electoral goals, urging the party to increase its representation beyond the current 102 seats in the DPR and to raise its numbers in provincial and local legislatures. He called for immediate consolidation of party structures from the district level down to villages and emphasized the need to upgrade cadres through training programs such as the party’s TOT academy, especially ahead of the 2029 elections.
