Golmaal 5 release date set for January 8, 2027

Director Rohit Shetty has officially announced that the fifth installment of the comedy franchise, ‘Golmaal 5’, is scheduled for theatrical release on January 8, 2027. The announcement was made via a motion poster on social media.

The film features the return of several original cast members, including Ajay Devgn, Arshad Warsi, Tusshar Kapoor, Kunal Kemmu, and Shreyas Talpade. Sharman Joshi also returns to the franchise for the first time since the original 2006 film. Additionally, Akshay Kumar has joined the cast in a key, though currently undisclosed, role.

Industry analysts suggest the January release date is a strategic move to capitalize on the Makar Sankranti festival in Gujarat, where the franchise has historically performed well. The timing also provides a two-week window between the release of Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘King’ and Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Love & War’. The film is produced by Rohit Shetty Picturez in association with T-Series.
