Gombe State Police Launch Statewide Crackdown on Unregistered Vehicles

The Gombe State Police Command has begun a statewide enforcement operation targeting motorists who drive vehicles without registration number plates or with concealed plates. Police officials warned that anyone found in violation will be prosecuted, emphasizing that proper vehicle registration is essential for intelligence gathering, crime detection and effective law enforcement.

Police Public Relations Officer DSP Buhari Abdullahi described the use of unregistered or masked plates as unlawful and a threat to public safety. Commissioner of Police Umar Ahmed Chuso urged vehicle owners to display valid plates at all times, stressing that compliance will help reduce crime and improve security across the state.
