Gomumari Co., Ltd., based in Tokyo, has announced the launch of its ‘Payroll Calculation Check AI Agent,’ scheduled for release on October 11, 2026. The service is designed to automate the verification of payroll results by cross-referencing them with attendance, personnel, and allowance data.

The AI agent functions as a parallel check layer that does not require changes to existing payroll processes. It identifies discrepancies or anomalies—such as overtime pay exceeding monthly thresholds or mismatches in pay grades—and provides a list of items requiring human review along with the specific reasons for the flags.

By automating the full-scale manual cross-checking typically performed by experienced staff, the tool aims to reduce errors, decrease the time spent on administrative tasks, and mitigate the risks associated with person-dependent expertise (individualization of tasks).
