Gonçalo Ramos leads AC Milan in distance covered
Gonçalo Ramos has emerged as the player with the highest distance covered for AC Milan during the first five matchdays of the Serie A season. The Portuguese forward has recorded 57.3 kilometers, surpassing teammates Strahinja Pavlović (54.9 km) and Koni De Winter (50.6 km).
Ramos ranks eighth overall in Serie A for distance covered, trailing only Inter Milan's Nicolò Barella, and holds the top position among all forwards in the league. While his high workload demonstrates significant defensive contribution and pressing capability, it presents a tactical challenge regarding his efficiency in the final third.
Ruben Amorim has noted the need to provide Ramos with better support and cleaner scoring opportunities. The goal is to ensure the striker spends more time in the penalty area to maximize his impact, rather than exhausting himself through defensive duties.
