Ruben Amorim launches AC Milan pre‑season at Milanello

Ruben Amorim took charge of AC Milan's first open‑training session on Monday, welcoming more than 1,000 fans to Milanello. The Portuguese coach introduced a 3‑4‑2‑1 system, experimenting with players such as Samuel Chukwueze on the right side of midfield, Mario Gila in a central defensive role and Andrej Kostic scoring the opening goal. Club owner Gerry Cardinale arrived by helicopter and participated in the introductory ceremony.

The pre‑season also featured the surprise early arrival of new striker Gonçalo Ramos, who stopped by the camp still on World Cup break to meet Amorim, Cardinale and teammates, declaring his enthusiasm for the move. In addition, Amorim added eleven young prospects to the first‑team squad for the summer camp, highlighting forward Francesco Camarda among them. Transfer activity was discussed, with reports of Camarda being loaned to Sampdoria, the possible sale of right‑back Pervis Estupiñán (valued around €20 million), and ongoing negotiations for other departures.

Amorim’s first team talk, delivered in English, stressed shared responsibility and his availability to support the players.
