Gondomar PP demands urgent road repairs in Peitieiros and Borreiros

The People's Party (PP) municipal group in Gondomar is bringing two motions to the upcoming plenary session to demand urgent repairs for roads in Barreiro, located in the parish of Peitieiros, and Lousado, in Borreiros.

According to municipal spokesperson Paula Bouzós, the roads are in poor condition. In Barreiro, the lack of maintenance on the margins is reportedly hindering rainwater drainage and causing flooding in certain sections. In Lousado, concerns focus on the deteriorating road surface and the absence of sanitation services.

The PP is calling for the drafting of necessary projects, the acquisition of required sector permits, and the securing of funding to execute the works. Bouzós criticized the local government, led by Socialist Mayor Francisco Ferreira, alleging that repeated requests from residents have been ignored.
