The South Korean drama A Bona Fide Killer, starring veteran actress Gong Hyo Jin, opened with a 7.4 % average nationwide rating according to Nielsen Korea. The strong debut placed the series at the top of viewership rankings for its time slot across all Korean broadcast channels.
The series marks Gong Hyo Jin’s return to MBC after a 15‑year hiatus since The Greatest Love. Adapted from a popular webtoon, the show blends action, comedy and family drama, following Yu Bo Na, a mother who resumes work at Durumi Electronics while secretly operating as the legendary sniper “Kingfisher.” The plot also features her husband Kwon Tae Sung, a reporter hunting the elusive assassin, and detective Lee Dong Jin, adding layers of intrigue.
