Gong Yoo holds Jakarta fan meeting and previews new drama

South Korean actor Gong Yoo held his 2026 Asia Fanmeeting Tour in Jakarta on October 17, 2026, at Istora Senayan. During the event, which was attended by thousands of fans, the actor expressed his excitement about visiting the Indonesian capital for an official event for the first time.

During an interactive session, Gong Yoo discussed his upcoming 22-episode drama titled ‘Show Business’ (also referred to as ‘Tantara’), which is scheduled for release on Netflix in late 2026. The series, set in the South Korean entertainment industry between the 1960s and 1980s, marks a reunion between Gong Yoo and director Lee Yoon-jung, known for ‘Coffee Prince’. The drama features Song Hye Kyo and follows the struggles of musicians and entertainers building the industry from the ground up. Gong Yoo noted that he plans to continue his promotional tour for the series in locations including Macau, the Philippines, and South Korea.
