Gongju to host 2026 Peak Time Festival for 20,000 youth

Chungcheongnam-do and Gongju City will co-host the 4th annual national youth festival, the ‘2026 Peak Time Festival,’ on September 12 at Geumgang Singwan Park and the Gongju old downtown area. The event aims to bring together approximately 20,000 young people from across the country to celebrate Youth Day through communication, talent showcases, and relaxation.

Planned by a committee of 15 youth representatives from four Chungcheong region provinces, the festival features a diverse program including a music festival with artists such as N.Flying, Car, the Garden, and Kwon Jin-ah. Other activities include a participatory talk concert, a drone show, and a ceremony declaring Gongju a youth-friendly city.

To support career development, the ‘Job Planning Day’ will offer mentoring from professionals at major corporations and public institutions. The festival also incorporates technology through VR and AI experiences. In line with environmental goals, the event will utilize reusable containers, AI recycling robots, and carbon-neutrality campaigns.
