Gonzaga basketball programs favored in Pac-12 preseason polls

In their inaugural season as members of the redesigned Pac-12 Conference, both Gonzaga University men’s and women’s basketball programs are projected to earn automatic bids to the 2027 NCAA Tournament.

The men’s team, led by coach Mark Few, was named the unanimous favorite to win the Pac-12 in a media poll, receiving all 17 first-place votes. Players Davis Fogle and Braden Huff were named to the conference’s preseason impact list. Additionally, Braden Huff and transfer Massamba Diop have been named to the preseason watch lists for the Karl Malone and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar Awards, respectively.

The women’s team, coached by Lisa Fortier, received 16 of 19 first-place votes in the media poll. Allie Turner and Lauren Whittaker were selected for the Pac-12 preseason impact list. According to FanDuel, the men’s team holds eleventh-best odds at +3000 to win the national championship, while the women’s team sits at +25000.
