Good Samaritans rescue driver from burning Corvette in Sydney

Two Good Samaritans rescued a 23-year-old driver from a burning Corvette in Luddenham, Western Sydney, after the vehicle crashed into a tree and erupted in flames around 8 p.m. on Monday.

Resident Angelo Molluso and another bystander rushed toward the wreckage to pull the driver to safety before emergency crews arrived. Molluso reported that the car was “just full on flames” and that they had only seconds to act to prevent a fatality. During the rescue, Molluso received treatment for minor burns at the scene.

The driver was transported to Westmead Hospital in serious but stable condition, suffering from a suspected broken rib, a collapsed lung, and possible back injuries. The vehicle was largely destroyed by the fire, which also ignited several nearby trees. Police have launched an investigation into the cause of the crash.
