Good Smile Company announces new MODEROID plastic model kits

Good Smile Company has announced new and re-released plastic model kits under its MODEROID series.

The MODEROID Shin Getter 1, based on the anime ‘Shin Getter Robo: The Last Day on Earth’, is undergoing its third re-release. The approximately 160mm tall model features a pre-painted head for easier color accuracy and includes various weapons such as the Getter Tomahawk, Getter Site, and Getter Lancer. Pre-orders are available until August 19, with shipping expected in December 2026.

Additionally, the company is accepting pre-orders for the MODEROID Super Mechagodzilla, inspired by the film ‘Godzilla vs. Mechagodzilla’. This set includes both Mechagodzilla and Garuda, which can be combined into Super Mechagodzilla using specialized parts. The kit features weaponry like the G-Crusher and Plasma Grenade, with the G-Crusher capable of simulating a firing state via included lead wires. Pre-orders for this set run until August 26, with shipping scheduled for March 2027.
