Goodhue man suffers severe injuries in motorcycle crash
A GoFundMe fundraiser has been established for Phillip Carl Breidall, a 35-year-old man from Goodhue, Minnesota, following a severe motorcycle accident. The collision occurred on August 12 at the Highway 52 and Highway 57 interchange north of Zumbrota.
According to the State Patrol, Breidall was traveling south on Highway 57 when he collided with a northbound car that was making a left turn onto the Highway 52 northbound onramp. The driver of the car, 39-year-old Jessica Ann Wetzstein, was not injured. Breidall sustained life-threatening injuries and was airlifted to St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester, where his lower left leg was amputated.
The fundraiser, titled ‘Rallying for Phil’s Healing and Recovery’, aims to raise $35,000 to assist with medical costs, rehabilitation, prosthetic needs, lost income, and home accessibility improvements. As of Tuesday afternoon, more than $26,000 had been raised.
