GoodLeaf Farms achieves profitability across all Canadian facilities
GoodLeaf Farms, a Canadian vertical farming operator, has announced that all its facilities have achieved operational profitability. This milestone comes fifteen years after the company was founded in Halifax in 2011.
The company operates three sites located in Guelph, Ontario; Calgary, Alberta; and Saint-Hubert, Quebec. These facilities use proprietary technology to control light, air, and water to produce baby greens, microgreens, and salad mixes for major retailers.
CEO Andy O’Brien stated that reaching profitability validates the company’s vision of growing fresh, local leafy greens year-round in Canada’s challenging climate. The company has seen significant financial growth, with revenue increasing from $6.4 million in 2023 to $34 million in 2025, and a further 31 percent increase this year.
