Goodluck Jonathan visits Ebonyi and Cross River

Former Nigerian President Goodluck Jonathan traveled through Ebonyi State and Cross River State for official and personal engagements.

Upon arriving at the Chuba Okadigbo International Airport in Onueke, Ebonyi State, Jonathan was received by Deputy Governor Patricia Obila and other state officials. The Ebonyi State government highlighted his use of the facility as a sign of confidence in the airport, urging airlines and private operators to increase patronage to boost regional economic and developmental benefits.

Following his arrival in Ebonyi, Jonathan traveled to Boki Local Government Area in Cross River State to attend the funeral of Sir Benedict Obi, who passed away at the age of 100. Jonathan joined the Obi family and other dignitaries to pay tribute to the late centenarian, the father of former Bayelsa State Military Administrator Lt. Col. Paul Edor Obi (Rtd).
