Goodwood Festival of Speed 2026 highlights Honda's electric debut and wider manufacturer launches

The Goodwood Festival of Speed, running 9‑12 July 2026 in West Sussex, has shifted from classic car exhibitions to a launch platform for new models. Honda returned with a strong two‑wheel focus, unveiling the electric WN7 motorcycle, the Super‑N electric urban car, and the dynamic Prelude HRC Concept, a hybrid‑coupé prototype driven by Jessica Hawkins and Tiago Monteiro. The brand also showcased the historic Williams‑Honda FW11 to mark its 40th anniversary.

Other manufacturers used the hill‑climb to debut concepts and production cars. BYD mounted its largest ever exhibition, presenting Denza models and the ultra‑fast Yangwang U9 Xtreme hypercar. MINI prepared a special “MINI Street” area featuring a Paul Smith‑edition Cooper Electric and new show cars. The festival’s theme, “The Rivals”, paired historic duels such as Ford GT40 vs Ferrari and Hunt vs Lauda with future‑focused electric and hybrid entries, underscoring Goodwood’s role as a bridge between motorsport heritage and emerging automotive technology.
