Goodwood Festival of Speed unveils Urban Automotive Defender pickup and MG electric concept cars

Urban Automotive introduced its Defender 110 Hard Top‑based pickup, named Avontur, at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, marking the tuner’s 10‑year anniversary. The conversion removes the rear roof, adds carbon‑fiber panels, widened fenders, a roll‑over protection frame and other bespoke parts—over 36 components—including 23‑inch Vossen aluminium wheels and a custom engine cover. Customers can choose matte or glossy carbon‑fiber finishes; pricing has not been disclosed.

At the same show, MG revealed two future models. The MG GO! concept is a retro‑futuristic electric B‑segment hatchback slated for production in 2027, while the MG Cyber Concept is a high‑performance electric SUV aimed at the D‑segment market. Both designs blend the brand’s historic sports‑car styling with modern electric‑vehicle technology. MG also displayed a range of plug‑in hybrid and fully electric models and showcased AI‑driven autonomous‑driving demonstrations.
