Goodyear launches new EfficientGrip ECO EG03 passenger tires

Goodyear Japan has announced the launch of its new generation passenger car tire, the ‘EfficientGrip ECO EG03’. The rollout began in June 2026, with plans to expand the lineup to 38 different sizes by September 2026.

The new tire is designed to cover a wide range of vehicles, including light cars, compact cars, minivans, and SUVs. It utilizes ‘TredLife Technology’ to improve wear resistance by 27% compared to the previous ‘EfficientGrip ECO EG02’ model, aiming for a longer service life.

Key performance enhancements include a 22% reduction in pattern noise and a 15% reduction in road noise due to an innovative tread design. Additionally, the tire features a new compound and optimized longitudinal grooves that improve wet braking performance by 9% and drive rake performance by 4%.
