Goodyear outlines stable employment outlook for Dębica plant

Goodyear has indicated that its tire factory in Dębica, Poland, remains a critical asset within its European operations. Despite rising energy and labor costs across the industry, the company expects production levels and employment to remain stable, with the potential for growth in the coming years.

The facility, which is Goodyear’s largest plant in Europe, currently employs approximately 3,000 people. Since the strategic investor entered the company in 1995, total investments have exceeded $500 million. The plant’s competitive edge is attributed to its advanced technological capabilities, experienced workforce, and ability to implement complex production processes.

While automation and robotics are increasing, the company does not foresee a threat to current job levels. Furthermore, the recent sale of the Dunlop brand license to the Sumitomo Group has not negatively impacted production volumes at the Dębica site. A primary ongoing challenge for the facility is recruiting new workers from the local labor market.
