Goodyear Tire & Rubber posts Q2 2026 sales dip, reports $4.3 bn revenue

Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company announced second‑quarter 2026 results, reporting net sales of $4.3 billion, about a 5% decline from a year earlier. Unit volumes fell 4% overall, with the Americas down 9% due to weaker U.S. consumer replacement demand and the company’s exit from lower‑margin product lines. In Europe, the Middle East and Africa, volumes slipped 2%. Segment operating income was $36 million, but after adjusting for significant items the company posted a non‑GAAP loss of $0.61 per share. Interim CFO Scott Deakin said the tax expense remained unusually high because of the geographic mix of earnings. CEO Mark Stewart said performance was in line with expectations, noting that global tire volumes improved sequentially and channel destocking moderated. Original‑equipment volumes grew, especially in the commercial segment, which saw mid‑teens percentage gains.
