Google adds AI‑driven voice search to Gmail and updates Drive file‑deletion guidance

Google has introduced Gmail Live, a beta feature that lets users search their email with voice commands powered by the Gemini AI model. Users tap the Gemini icon in Gmail’s search bar, speak a query such as “when does my flight depart?”, and the system scans their messages for an answer. The feature is currently available to early testers, including subscribers to Google AI Pro and Ultra plans, and is part of a broader rollout that will bring Gemini voice interactions to other Google apps.
