Google AI Plus and AI Pro expand Gemini app usage limits

Google has introduced two paid tiers for its Gemini app – AI Plus at $4.99 per month and AI Pro at $19.99. Both plans raise the standard usage caps: AI Plus provides twice the free‑tier limits, while AI Pro offers four times more. Token capacity for file analysis jumps from 32,000 tokens (about 50 pages) on the free tier to 128,000 tokens with AI Plus and up to one million tokens (roughly 1,500 pages) with AI Pro. Video upload length expands from a 5‑minute free limit to one hour for AI Pro, and audio from 10 minutes to three hours. Notebook slots increase from 100 (free) to 200 with AI Plus and 500 with AI Pro, with corresponding boosts to source counts. Subscribers also gain access to advanced image models, video‑generation tools, scheduled actions, and a personalized daily brief that pulls data from Gmail, Calendar and Gemini chats. Personal Intelligence features, such as Memory and custom Gemini instructions, are available to all users, but the enhanced daily brief requires an AI Plus subscription.
