Google and LinkedIn Launch New Tools to Manage AI-Generated Content
Google has published a guide for webmasters, SEO professionals, and developers on how to optimize content for generative AI features in Google Search. The resource includes advice on creating valuable, unique material, offering local, shopping, image and video content, debunking common misconceptions about AI‑enhanced search, and reinforcing that traditional SEO best practices remain essential.
LinkedIn has introduced a “Seems like AI slop” button that lets members flag posts they suspect were generated by AI or are of low quality. Chief Product Officer Hari Srinivasan said the feature supports a broader rollout of classifiers aimed at identifying AI‑generated or low‑value content, helping improve the relevance of users’ feeds. The move follows similar efforts by platforms such as Substack and detection technologies like Google’s SynthID and the C2PA protocol.
