Google and Motorola release Android 17 updates

Google has released the Android 17 QPR3 Beta 3 update for compatible Pixel devices. This version focuses on stability, connectivity, and screen performance, featuring 26 fixes. Key improvements include resolving an issue where the inner screen of foldable Pixel devices would turn black upon opening, fixing unexpected application closures, and addressing Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity errors. The update also restores the App Lock feature and the lock screen blur effect.

In Brazil, Motorola has begun rolling out Android 17 to the Edge 50 Pro. This 4.92 GB update introduces changes to the Hello UI, including new clock styles on the lock screen and a redesigned control center. The update also brings support for Live Activities, enhanced memory management, improved security controls for personal data, and new artificial intelligence features.
