Google Android Spam Call Filter Activation Guide

Google’s Android operating system includes a built‑in spam‑call filter that uses the company’s extensive database to spot and block suspicious numbers. The feature is available on devices running Android 5.0 or newer and is often enabled by default on recent models.

To activate or adjust the filter, open the native Phone app, tap the three‑dot menu, select Settings, choose “Caller ID & spam” (or “Identificador de chamadas e spam”), and switch the option on. Users can also report missed spam calls to help improve detection. Once active, the system warns users of potential spam before the call rings and can automatically reject identified spam calls.
