Google launches Fitbit Air Special Edition Pokémon Sleep
Google has announced the Fitbit Air Special Edition Pokémon Sleep, a screenless fitness tracker designed to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Pokémon. The device is priced at $129.99 in the United States and ¥19,800 in Japan, with shipping scheduled to begin on September 15.
The special edition features a Sleepy Blue color scheme and a micro-adjustable fabric band adorned with a silk-printed sleeping Pikachu. While the hardware remains identical to the standard Fitbit Air—weighing 12 grams and offering heart rate, SpO2, and skin temperature monitoring—the primary innovation is its deep integration with the Pokémon Sleep mobile app.
Through Google Health Connect on Android or Apple Health on iOS, the tracker automatically syncs sleep duration and stages with the game. Users can convert their sleep data into in-game rewards, such as increasing Snorlax’s strength or attracting various Pokémon to the player's virtual campsite. Additionally, purchasers receive a three-month trial of Google Health Premium, which includes AI-driven health coaching powered by Gemini.
