Google Arts & Culture announces major renewal for 15th anniversary

Google has announced a major renewal of its Google Arts & Culture platform to celebrate its 15th anniversary. The update introduces a new home screen designed to aggregate content from across the app into a single vertical feed, improving navigation through the platform's vast archives.

A key feature of the update is a new conversational search experience, allowing users to ask questions about art and culture to receive curated visuals and stories. The platform is also integrating more artificial intelligence capabilities, including ‘Chrono Look’ for virtually trying on historical clothing and ‘Dial-an-Artist,’ an interactive tool that enables users to engage in dialogue with historical figures and artworks.

Over the past 15 years, Google Arts & Culture has collaborated with more than 3,000 cultural institutions and artists across over 90 countries to provide access to high-resolution artworks, 3D archaeological artifacts, and various other cultural disciplines.
