Google Chrome and Other Browsers Add Options to Disable Zoom

Google Chrome users can turn off the double‑tap zoom feature by navigating to chrome://flags, locating the “Enable Touch Events” setting and selecting “Disabled,” then restarting the browser. This stops automatic zoom when the screen is tapped twice.

For the zoom‑mini‑window preview, Chrome’s “Hover Cards” flag can be disabled the same way. Mozilla Firefox users can open about:config, find the browser.zoom.imageHandling.enabled preference and set it to false. Apple Safari users can open Preferences → Advanced and uncheck “Smart Zoom.” Restarting each browser applies the changes, eliminating accidental zooming and thumbnail previews while browsing.
