Google Chrome faces high-severity security alert

The Indian Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT-In) has issued a high-severity security advisory regarding multiple critical vulnerabilities in Google Chrome. These flaws affect desktop users on Windows, macOS, and Linux platforms.

The vulnerabilities are linked to memory management issues, specifically use-after-free errors within core browser components including V8, TabStrip, and Blink. Attackers may exploit these weaknesses by tricking users into visiting malicious webpages, which could allow for remote code execution or unauthorized system access.

Google has released patches to address these security flaws. Users are urged to manually check for updates through the browser menu, install the latest version, and restart Chrome to mitigate the risk of exploitation.
