Google Chrome releases update to fix 32 security vulnerabilities

Google has released a Chrome Stable update to address 32 security vulnerabilities affecting Windows, macOS, and Linux. The update includes one critical flaw and several high-severity vulnerabilities across various components, including the V8 JavaScript engine, the ANGLE graphics engine, GPU, WebGPU, Bluetooth, and the password manager.

The most severe vulnerability, identified as CVE-2026-102331, is a critical buffer overflow in ANGLE. This flaw could allow for memory corruption and potentially enable malicious code execution within the browser context. Additionally, the update patches multiple high-severity type confusion issues in the V8 engine, which could lead to arbitrary code execution if a user visits a malicious webpage.

Other addressed issues include use-after-free vulnerabilities in Bluetooth, FullScreen, and Picture-in-Picture components, as well as a high-severity cross-site scripting issue in WebUI. Google noted that the rollout of versions 154.0.8037.92/.93 for Windows and Mac, and 154.0.8037.92 for Linux, will occur over the coming days and weeks.
