Google Cloud and Accenture partner to deploy AI engineers
Google Cloud and Accenture have announced the formation of the Accenture Gemini Enterprise Business Group. This new unit is designed to help corporate clients deploy Google’s Gemini Enterprise agentic AI platform by embedding specialized engineers directly within customer operations.
According to reports, the group will utilize up to 1,000 forward-deployed engineers (FDEs) to assist organizations that lack the internal expertise, data pipelines, or system architecture required to move AI from theoretical models to production-ready systems. Google Cloud CEO Thomas Kurian noted that companies often struggle to understand how AI can reconfigure business processes or manage the resulting organizational changes.
Accenture CEO Julie Sweet stated that while companies recognize the potential of AI, they often require assistance to achieve tangible impacts on their bottom line. The initiative aims to bridge the ‘last-mile gap’ between AI model capability and actual business deployment, leveraging Accenture’s broader pool of approximately 50,000 Google Cloud-skilled professionals.
