Google Cloud launches Gemini Agent for enterprise automation

Google Cloud has introduced Gemini Agent, a multi-agent AI tool designed to automate complex enterprise workflows. The agent is capable of executing multi-step tasks autonomously once a goal is defined, including planning, coding, and data analysis. To facilitate seamless integration into professional environments, Gemini Agent can be assigned its own corporate identity, complete with a dedicated email address and calendar.

The tool integrates with various business platforms, including Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, Slack, Salesforce, and Jira. Notably, the system is not limited to Google's own models; it can utilize third-party AI models such as Anthropic's Claude.

Additionally, Google announced Gemini Spark, a tool intended to automate background tasks within Google Workspace, such as creating style guides or organizing data from emails. Gemini Agent will be available to Gemini Enterprise subscribers at no additional cost, while broader availability for other Workspace plans is expected in the future.
