Google Cloud emphasizes business model shifts for AI agent success

Google Cloud has highlighted that successful implementation of AI agents requires companies to fundamentally change their business processes and operational models rather than simply adopting more powerful AI models. During Google AI Day, it was noted that effective AI integration is a transformation of business models disguised as a technical project.

To expand its capabilities, Google Cloud is integrating OpenAI models and the Codex coding tool into its development tools, including Google Antigravity and Gemini Agent. This collaboration will include Google Cloud’s existing access controls and data governance.

Several companies shared their use cases for AI agents. Ericsson is utilizing Google Cloud services for both operations and security, using agents to autonomously manage networks toward business goals, such as predicting traffic and optimizing energy consumption. SEB has developed an AI agent to assist advisors in identifying business opportunities and preparing for client interactions by analyzing market events.
