Google Cloud Summit Doha highlights Qatar’s shift to agentic AI
At the Google Cloud Summit Doha 2026, Google Cloud and the Qatari government highlighted a transition from experimental artificial intelligence to enterprise-scale agentic AI workflows. The event, held at the Qatar National Convention Centre, marked the third anniversary of the Google Cloud Doha region and drew over 2,000 industry professionals.
To support Qatar’s Digital Agenda 2030, several new initiatives were announced, including the launch of the MCIT Innovation Lab (iLab) and the Google Cloud National Skilling Program, developed alongside the Qatar Digital Academy. These programs aim to strengthen national digital capabilities and support government entities in adopting advanced technologies at scale.
A major focus of the summit was the deployment of Gemini Enterprise to automate core operations. The technology is being positioned to enable agentic AI—systems capable of setting goals, planning tasks, and executing complex workflows—moving organizations from passive data management to proactive action.
